Today, hospitals and clinics are overflowing with sick people waiting for treatments and diagnosis, this is even as many people stay away to avoid the risk of contracting COVID-19. It’s a difficult time to be in, as one can’t have access to a safe and convenient access to medical care.

Now picture 2030, doctors and patients now move quickly through the entire system; being able to provide and receive proactively smarter healthcare at an efficient pace. So what changed in the 10-year gap?

Connected care became the new standard.

Healthcare shifts from the conventional way of medical care towards a new, smarter system. One that resolves the issue of a deficiency in skilled medical professionals and one that utilizes the breakthroughs in medical technology.

One such breakthrough is the use of artificial intelligence (AI) within the medical industry. AI and predictive analytics help us to understand more about the different factors in our lives that influence our health; making accurate diagnoses based on complex details of our medical history. It even takes into consideration factors such as where we were born, our type of diet, where we work, what exposure to the pollution we have, and whether we have access to basic needs and a stable household income.

In the future, this new healthcare tool will be able to provide an analysis of a patient’s records and anticipate when they are at risk of certain diseases, while simultaneously recommending preventive measures. With the nature of AI, this process will only get progressively faster and smarter over time as it is consistently being used for numerous cases.
